CORRECT INFORMATION

It is the client’s responsibility to provide Fabric Bank with accurate information. A general artwork layout will be prepared according to the client's brief. This layout must be confirmed in writing by the client before production begins. The client is required to approve the scale, size, layout, and substrate. Fabric Bank cannot be held liable for any manufacturing errors if the client has approved the final layout.

โ€‹

MATERIAL USES - CUSTOM ORDERS

Kindly state the use of the fabric/wallpaper in order to choose the correct material/substrate for use.

CHANGES - CUSTOM ORDERS

Fabric Bank assumes that the client has reviewed and approved the artwork layout in writing before production begins. Up to two changes per artwork can be made without additional cost. Beyond this, an hourly rate will be charged for any further changes. Printing will be delayed if the final signed artwork proof is not submitted.

โ€‹

โ€‹

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All artwork provided by Fabric Bank may only be used by clients with Fabric Bank's consent. Artwork created or purchased by Fabric Bank remains its property unless explicitly stated in writing for the purchase of sole rights. Fabric Bank is not responsible for copyright infringement resulting from the client's negligence or ignorance, particularly if the client supplies their own sourced images for print. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that any artwork submitted for print does not infringe on copyright. Additionally, Fabric Bank reserves the right to use clients' artwork and printed media for advertising, marketing, and portfolio purposes.

PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTWORK AND OTHER ARTWORK PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT

Photographic artwork does not require all areas to be in focus. It is up to the client to check that your choice of artwork is up to his/her expectations.

Fabric Bank is merely the facilitator in printing the final image choice of the client and the choices made available, must be to Fabric Bank’s considered standard of merit. In the event of photographic artwork selected from images represented by Fabric Bank, the choice made by the client is subjective. Should the client later decide that the artwork is no longer suitable, the artwork can be reprinted, but for the client’s own account.

In the event of artwork supplied by the client or purchased online, Fabric Bank can make suggestions if they feel the image quality would not match an acceptable standard; Fabric Bank cannot be held responsible for the overall quality of artwork provided by the client or purchased online.

In the event of an online purchased image, or images supplied by the client, Fabric Bank does not necessarily know the artwork or if there are flaws in the artwork, and this would solely be for the risk of the client. Should the client not be willing to take this risk, they can then employ Fabric Bank to check the artwork at an additional fee.

All artwork is merely a subjective argument and Fabric Bank will not be held responsible for the final choice made by the client. Fabric Bank is merely the facilitator, printer and installer(wallpaper). When the quality of the image is in question, Fabric Bank may send scaled previews (enlarged or reduced in size) for approval.

MEASUREMENTS - CUSTOM WALLPAPERS

This guideline applies to the ordering of custom wallpapers only. Since walls are often not perfectly straight, Fabric Bank will add a 50mm bleed all around to ensure complete wall coverage. If the client measures their own wall, they must take care to measure at least three points: height at the left, right, and center; and width at the bottom, middle, and top. It is important to note the positions of plug points, windows, and door frames, as these will affect the wallpaper installation. Additionally, account for any window reveals that may require extra wallpaper. All measurements should be provided in millimeters, centimeters, or meters. Sizes will be rounded up to accommodate for bleed and overlaps. The client must double-check the measurements against the artwork layout provided for approval. Fabric Bank will not be responsible for errors due to incorrect sizes provided by the client.

โ€‹โ€‹

โ€‹

TURN AROUND TIME

Turnaround time is measured in working days. Once the deposit is settled and the artwork is signed off, please allow 7-10 working days for completion, unless otherwise stated or agreed upon. For accurate lead times, please check the production methods as some may vary. Note that cotton or natural fabric printing has a lead time of 4-6 weeks per order. While delivery times are provided in good faith, Fabric Bank cannot be held responsible for delays caused by external issues such as delays from suppliers, unpaid balances on the day of dispatch, late artwork sign-offs, poorly prepared surfaces (for wallpapers), or delays with shipping and delivery companies. We strive to meet our estimated turnaround times, but factors beyond our control may affect the final delivery schedule.

SAMPLING AND SUBSTRATE PROPERTIES

A digital preview may not accurately represent the final printed product. Colors and details may differ between the digital artwork on screen and the actual fabric or wallpaper substrate. To ensure color accuracy and scale, it is recommended to request a test sample before proceeding with production. The request for samples is the client’s responsibility. Fabric Bank cannot be held liable for any discrepancies or claims if samples are not requested prior to manufacturing. Given the use of digital substrates, Fabric Bank can only suggest scales and colors for chosen designs or patterns. If a project is delayed and samples were previously provided, a new sample must be approved before proceeding, as colors and scales may vary with different material batches. Various substrates have different print qualities, and color may vary from material to material and batch to batch. The final printed product may not always match the initial sample due to these variations. Fabric Bank produces bespoke custom artworks, which may result in slight color differences between batches. These variations are not considered defects but are part of the process necessary to create custom products.

PACKAGING AND DELIVERY OF FABRIC AND WALLPAPER

Fabric Bank takes utmost care to package goods securely and if the client arranges their own courier company and chooses not to use ours, the responsibility rests on the client to ensure goods are delivered and received in good order. Fabric Bank will not take responsibility for goods damaged in transit if their own courier company is used.

Fabric Bank calculates courier cut off dates for deadlines set by the client. In the event that a delay should result due to poor management on behalf of the courier company, Fabric Bank denies all claims or penalties for late delivery.

WALLPAPER INSTALLATION GUIDE

โ€‹

โ€‹

PRE WALLPAPER INSTALLATION

It is the client’s responsibility to check all printed items before commencing cutting and installation. All items should be checked in advance for faults such as colour variances contradictory to brief. Should installation take place and thereafter the client decides that they no longer like their selected choice, no claims whatsoever can be made to Fabric Bank.

POST WALLPAPER INSTALLATION

Should the client feel that there is an issue with their wallpaper installation (misalignment, etc.), Fabric Bank must be notified within 1 months post installation/delivery/collection. Fabric Bank will not be held liable for any installation defects/snags after the 1 month period.

Joins between panels are often unavoidable due to the installation processes required to print wallpaper. We will gladly come and inspect the joins if the client believes that they are severe. It is up to our discretion to decide whether or not the joins are reasonably visible or not. Furthermore, we can then move towards using a process called “chalking” to amend the joins, but we do not recommend it, as the chalking colours don’t necessarily  match the inks printed.

โ€‹

OWN WALLPAPER INSTALLATIONS

In the instance of the client arranging their own installation, the responsibility for the end result no longer rests on Fabric Bank and our role has now effectively changed to that of the print suppliers ONLY. Please do your research properly before attempting to install wallpapers yourself, there is a lot of information available on the internet as well as videos on Youtube.com. You can view our WALLPAPER INSTALLATION GUIDE for more info
